What is C.H.A.S.E.R ?

C.H.A.S.E.R or Cool Handling And Speed EnhanceR is FiveM Script with the
intention of improving the vehicle physics for cars and motorcycles.

How C.H.A.S.E.R Improves the game?

The C.H.A.S.E.R Driving system improves the game by adding new live
calculation of physical elements, alongside considering interpreting
several real-life vehicle data accurately in game, we will walkthrough
across all C.H.A.S.E.R functions and features and talk about how they
improve your user experience.

Power & Torque Curves

C.H.A.S.E.R For the first time ever in FiveM, introduces a new power and torque
curve system, which is capable of reading real life vehicle torque curves and
using it to accurately introduce Real RPM and Torque curves into the game,
completely fixing the erratic vehicle acceleration that used to cause vehicles to
speed way too quickly, and now properly controls the vehicle power band, with
alongside the real drag coefficient and power, can produce accurate results in
relation to the real vehicle data such as 0-100, 0-160, ETC.
The introduction of this system alone, completely changes the driving experience,
causing it to be more challenging, yet rewarding for those who choose to master
it.

Transmission System

Beyond M.T.P.O, C.H.A.S.E.R introduces a completely new and revised Transmission
System.
Vehicles are given the option to choose across 3 different transmission modes,
Manual W/ Clutch, Sequential and Automatic.
With C.H.A.S.E.R Transmission System, Final Drive and Gear Ratios are simulated
and can be edited at will, the gear ratio simulation is precise with real world
aspects, so utilizing the same gear ratios as the real vehicle you’re profiling, will
result in the same top speeds per gear, how ever it is necessary to calibrate the
final drive, as chaser uses its own logic for it.
Besides that, chaser also provides massive attention to detail simulating aspects like:

● Clutch Kicking
● Locking the wheel due to over-revving
● Grinding the gears and harsh shifting when shifting without pressing the Clutch
● Transmission Power Loss

Alongside a severe attention to detail, C.H.A.S.E.R also bring features never seen
before in on a Manual Transmission Script for FiveM,

Rev Limiter

With our transmission system, The Rev Limiter is still kept intact, and works
accordingly, holding your car at each gear top speed.

New Engine Braking system

Our New Engine Braking system will hold the vehicle into the maxspeed allowed by
that gear, on downhills that aren’t too steep, like in real vehicles, working
alongside the Rev Limiter system.

Details on Transmission modes

Automatic:

We have gone a step further in pursuit of bringing a factor of uniqueness to each
vehicle, and have added a new feature which allows for each vehicle who utilizes
an automatic transmission to have a determined shifting point, at a certain rpm
%.

Sequential:

Sequential transmissions also have received an update and now like real life
vehicles, can operate in both Automatic and Sequential modes.

Manual W/ Clutch:

Manuals have received a polishing and overhaul, now with a much more precise
clutch engagement logic, completely fixing past issues where the gear might not
shift, or the clutch timing would feel odd.

Differential/Drift System

The differential system comes completely revised and overhauled from
MTPO, bringing for the first time ever in FiveM, live, proper drifting.
There is no need for drift handlings, or settings.

C.H.A.S.E.R New differential system brings the proper simulation of a L.S.D
(Limited Slip Differential) causing both vehicle wheels to lockup and use
the power when needed, effectively.

The new differential system, patches the game's natural attempt of
ceasing any drift or powersliding attempt by cutting off the gas, and
instead allows for a slide to happen.

Not only that, but also calculates how the forces should act properly in the
vehicle, and applies the effects, causing each vehicle reaction when
drifting to be unique to its characteristics, such as suspension tweaking,
max steering angle and center of mass

The way the power is sent is considered on our drifting system, so RWD and
AWD vehicles will behave differently when drifting.

On the rear wheel drive vehicles, players will need to use countersteer and
other proper RWD drifting techniques, as the engine power is sent through
the rear wheels, causing the tail to slide.

All wheel drive vehicles, will need to steer where they want to go, using the
throttle to control the slide, and factoring in how the torque is split across
the two drivetrains, a vehicle with a 35% Front and 65% Rear torque
distribution will drift completely differently from a vehicle which possess a
50/50 distribution.

The engine power is factored in on the drifting, so the more powerful your
vehicle is, the easier it will be to drift. Low Powered vehicles might have
difficulties to drift in sunny conditions, or when using high-performance
tires, but may find it easy to do so, when it is raining.

The C.H.A.S.E.R drifting system communicates with the Rev Limiter system,
and thus, the rev limiter will be faster or slower, depending on how much
traction you have.

Differentials can also have their lock % tweaked, whereas the higher it is,
the easier it will be for it to lock.

You can initialize a drift by using your preferred method, or whatever suits
your vehicle the most either being E-Brake, Weight Transfer, Clutch Kicking,
and more.

All new features for the differential system are grounded in reality and aim
to provide an enjoyable, unique, experience for players.

Weight System

C.H.A.S.E.R is the first system to include weight as a factor into the vehicle
performance, introducing Power To Weight ratio to the game.

Heavy vehicles with light vehicle engines will be slow
Powerful engines on light vehicles will be fast

A Simple yet effective system into further providing realism and
uniqueness to vehicles.

Engine Swap System

C.H.A.S.E.R also brings engine swaps as a possibility. Players can create
their own engine profiles and store them into a file, which the script will
read and can use to swap the vehicle engine, changing it’s performance,
sound and power to weight profile, you can use this to make the vehicle
faster or slower, possibilities are limitless.

On top of that, accurate fitment measuring is also something that can be
optionally calculated, where C.H.A.S.E.R will calculate if an engine fits, given
the 3d model dimensions, allowing for further realism into your game.

Or you can opt out of it, for an arcadeish fun experience.

Flywheel System

The flywheel system makes its return from MTPO, completely revised to be
more optimized, improving overall script performance.

With our flywheel system, we completely fix the erratic deceleration
behavior that caused the engine rpm to drop way too quickly and fix it to
drop smoothly, based on a user adjustable flywheel weight.

Tire System

For the first time ever, C.H.A.S.E.R brings a completely new tire system,
allowing for players to quickly create tires profile on a config file and
swapping them at will in-game, removing the need for handling edits
everytime something related to grip needs to be adjusted.

Turbo System

C.H.A.S.E.R Brings also a completely new turbo system of its own, removing the
need of usage of the in-game turbo.

The new turbo system allows for players to have both Superchargers with a linear
power increase and turbo chargers with customizable boost ramps to determine
how your turbo should deliver the power.

Turbos, unlike superchargers, possess an exponential boost growth, and power
delivery, that can be tweaked by the boost ramp.

Both turbos and superchargers utilized the compressor size, which is given in
millimeters, to determine their spool time, and power increase, where the larger
the turbo/supercharger, the longer the time to reach peak power
increase.

Attention to details

C.H.A.S.E.R, is not only the first ever Driving System script for FiveM, but also
introduces unique details never seen before, like gear shifting animations, which
vary depending on the transmission mode, sound effects for pedals, gear shifting,
paddles and many more.

Assistances System

C.H.A.S.E.R brings new assistance and modes to provide an optimal driving
experience for everyone.

With our assistances system, players can opt to utilize a Traction Control System
or/and a Stability Control system to help reduce wheelspin, avoid or control
drifting and much more

Players who use automatic transmission also have the possibility to enable the
“AT Gear Lock” assistance, which will lock the vehicle in the gear they’re currently
in, which can be used for making activities such as drifting, hillclimbing, etc easier
on automatic vehicles.

On top of that, we also added launch control, which will hold the vehicle at a
determined rpm range by the player, providing a faster and better launch, if the
vehicle supports it.

Universal Performance System

C.H.A.S.E.R is also capable of providing a universal rating system for vehicle
performances, namely “PP” (Performance Points)

PP is a scale that goes from 0 to 1000 and will consider the vehicle acceleration,
topspeed, and handling, for its calculation.

Thus helping players create a properly balanced category system on their
vehicles, and an overall balance on their server.

Fully Synchronized

C.H.A.S.E.R is a system developed for FiveM, and makes sure to keep the
network nature of the game.

All systems that need, are completely synchronized for an improved user
experience.

Players will be able to hear the engine swapped sounds on cars, the car
shifting, the rpm slowly dropping on the fly wheel, and more.

Fully Optimized

C.H.A.S.E.R was developed with optimization in mind, and keeps an average
performance of ~0.15ms*, Including our Live Physics calculation, Demo Hud,
and our custom base events.

Disabling these may result in an even faster script!

Easy to use

Like usual, C.H.A.S.E.R was developed with “Easy to Use” in mind, all you
need to do is submit the necessary data, and chaser will handle the rest.
We made sure to keep exports as simple as possible, and keep the script
highly configurable to suit most users' needs.

* Performance metrics measured at 1st release, with only Demo hud, Live physics calculation and Custom Base Events. Performance may vary on newer versions or on your experience, depending on the ammount of features being utilized in the moment.
